We strive to provide our clients the best possible service and products.
Through multiple reliable suppliers we deliver quality products for your RV. At the same time, we find the best possible price through them. At times we may choose, at our discretion, to out source suppliers if we find comparable products at a price better suited to your budget. In the end, we stand behind each product we provide and any service provided.
We know how it is when things go wrong with any aspect of owning an RV. Our personal experiences coupled with years of repair service give us an edge which we pass on to you. RV repair and service is a specialized industry and should only be undertaken by someone with that specialized knowledge. It can save you hundreds of dollars having the right person do the job correctly the first time.
If you are aware of an unqualified service/repair taking place you are, by law, required to report it to the TSSA, report via email to Customer Service or call 1-877-682-TSSA (8772)
We have seen work done by unqualified people and made reparations to the correct safety elevels. Your life and that of those around you deserve service by qualified personell.
Reservation of Rights
Regardless of any one person having read these terms and rights, or not read, said reservations of our rights stand as do the terms. As such we reserve the right to determine the best solution to your need/s. Wherein we feel that one manufacturer provides a better product, regardless of price, we reserve the right to choose which product/s to provide. Our commitment to providing the best quality service goes hand in hand with providing the product/s best suited to the the situation. Should you make disagreement to such, and a product we consider of lesser quality be chosen, we reserve the right not to warranty said product/s. We shall always warranty our work, however, we cannot warranty what we consider a product of lesser quality and/or reliability. In the rare event that we should agree to install a product purchased by you it cannot and will not be warranted by us. In addition, the reliability and warranty of any product you purchase, over and above our recommendation, is solely your responsibility. It is also to be fully understood that we have no control over the fluctuation of product market prices. Market prices are constantly changing as are shipping and delivery costs. Any price that we quote for any product/s is subject to change without notice. We will make a concerted effort to inform you of any such fluctuation, however, we bear no responsibility for said changes. We also reserve the right to amend the service rate policy and the associate product policy along with their terms and conditions at any time.
Product & service purchase terms
Wherein you make agreement, verbally, by signed order, or through any of the forms submitted through our website to request service from Ottawa Valley RV Inc. any product and/or service we recommend you are legally bound to provide full payment of such upon request. With the afore mentioned terms we reserve the right to require a non-refundable deposit against the service and/or purchase of any products wherein we feel it justified. Our suppliers do not accept deposits against product purchases, however, we do so in order to help reduce the weight of multiple and/or a large item purchase and large service requests.
Once we have applied any non-refundable deposit against the purchase of an agreed upon product and/or service request we cannot provide a return of any such monies. This may be disconcerting to some and as such we apologize for implementation of such terms. Regardless, we cannot return any paid monies. It is to be fully understood that we take a great risk in accepting partial payment towards any product purchase/s and/or service. Any non-refundable deposit requested by Ottawa Valley RV Inc. is often less than the full purchase price of the agreed upon product/s and/or services, hence the risk taken by Ottawa Valley RV Inc. is high. Any remaining balance for any agreed upon product purchase and/or service is required to be paid in full upon request.
On occasion, Ottawa Valley RV Inc. may make agreement with involved parties to accept payments towards full payment of the remaining balance. All such payments, whether it be deposit, remaining balance payment, or partial payments towards a remaining balance as agreed upon, for product and/or services, are all non-refundable. The above rights and terms are non-negotiable. It is to be noted that the afore mentioned is in place to protect not only the interests of Ottawa Valley RV Inc. but also those of its trusting clients. Sustaining delivery of quality product and services is fundamental to the success of Ottawa Valley RV Inc. and shall legally protect those interests. Ottawa Valley RV Inc. reserves the right to proceed with legal action as needed per legal counsel.
Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions as related to the purchase and use of products and/or services provided by us, or any product purchased by you against our recommendation. Nothing in this disclaimer will:
- limit or exclude our or your liability for death or personal injury;
- limit or exclude our or your liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- limit any of our or your liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law; or
- exclude any of our or your liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law.
The limitations and prohibitions of liability set in this Section and elsewhere in this disclaimer: (a) are subject to the preceding paragraph; and (b) govern all liabilities arising under the disclaimer, including liabilities arising in contract, in tort and for breach of statutory duty.
As long as the sale of product and/or service are provided per our recommendation, we will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature otherwise.
Understanding Credit/Debit Card Interchange Fees
In this world of ever increasing travel, hydro, heating, cooling and the daily household costs, not to mention food costs, it's nice to know where your money is going, at such an alarming rate. We certainly don't have all the answers but hopefully we can provide some clarity.
In light of our having to raise service/travel fees and introducing Intercahnge Fees we feel oblidged to provide some direction. This is a link to a new page regarding credit/debit card charges and Interchange fees; We hope it will provide some understanding.
Credit/Debit Card Processing
Ottawa Valley RV Inc. Service Rates
- A site is defined as the location specific to the requested service order.
- A service call is defined as the total time spent on site for a site specific service order, plus any and all parts and/or materials used.
Due to the increasing, yet compromising, minority, Ottawa Valley RV Inc. is often forced to amend any and/or all our policies and method/s used to secure payments. As of January 4, 2023, and as has always been the policy, a non-refundable pre-payment for any service is required prior to scheduling and/or dispatch of an Ottawa Valley RV Inc. service representative.
An Initial Service Request for service requires the non-refundable prepayment of the Initial First Hour in addition to the Initial Administrative Fee of $150, which is seen on the Initial Service Request order form. The hourly rate begins upon arrival at the site location. Prepayment/s can be made by credit/debit card or e-transfer (scheduling occurs after receipt of e-transfer).
We have implemented the security of the Square Payment technology application enabling us to secure immediate payment and therein provide an immediate receipt of the client's payment. Please note: there is a 3.5% interchange fee applied to help offset credit/debnit card charges that Ottawa Valley RV Inc has to pay. What is an interchange fee? It is charge paid by merchants to a credit card issuer and a card network as a fee for accepting credit cards. It is applied against the sub-total of a transaction.
E-transfer payments, which avoid interchange fees, are to be made to servicerequests@ottawavalleyrv.com. Upon receipt of the e-transfer payment your order is placed in line and a receipt issued to you.
Use of the Square Payment technology offers you secure payment options, accepting most major credit and debit cards. Our policy now requires storing the client's payment data. Said data will be deleted upon full payment of a client's Service Order, however, you have the option to request that your information be kept in storage. Thereafter, any stored information can and will be removed upon request. Use of the Square payment portal is to be conducted at your own risk. Ottawa Valley RV Inc. does not, and will not, assume any responsibility for any personal data that you provide.
Service Call
Updated - March 3, 2025Wherein the service order is completed, within the initial service call time allotment, full payment for parts, materials, is required upon completion. Where additional time over and above the initial one hour was Any and all additional time also requires full payment upon completion.
As previously noted, the abuse of the minority who refuse to pay for work requestd by their Service Orders, we now store the credit/debit card information provided as associated with the Service Order Request until ALL balances are paid in full. Upon full payment completion, the credit/debit card information will be deleted, unless a client wishes it to be kept for future use.
Return Service
If the servicing requires a return service call payment for the first hour for the return service call is to be paid in full prior to scheduling completion of the amended service order. Prior to leaving the client's servicing location, payment will be processed by the attending Ottawa Valley RV Inc. service representative using the client's credit/debit card information with the Returning Only form on the website. You will receive receipt of the payment via your email.Payment Refusal
Wherein any payment is declined by the client's credit/debit card provider, and/or refused by the client, service will no longer be provided for said client, by Ottawa Valley RV Inc. technician/s and any/all remaining monies of the Service Request will not be refunded. Reinstatement of service can be arranged after full payment of the total Lock Out Fee and, if any, all oustanding balances, has been received by Ottawa Valley RV Inc.
If necessary, legal action will be taken to secure any and all amounts outstanding.
Please note:
The attending technician/s reserves the right to decide whether or not to remove any newly installed parts as needed to fulfill the affected client's Service Order. Any time so required will be added to the client's account requiring full payment before any further work scheduling can be provided.
In the event that the attending technician/s so decide to remove any newly installed parts, the associated removed parts will be re-installed and any applicable time added to the client's account, requiring full payment prior to any rescheduling.
Why such trasically strict policy updates?
As we have so notated, we have been experiencing the deliberate refusal, of a small minority of clients, to make payment for time and/or parts provided by Ottawa Valley RV Inc.
While the amounts may be considered by some to be nominal, as in $200 for a part and/or time, such amounts quickly add up and adversely affect a company's operations.
We have also been stung by "trusted" clients who refuse to make payment for considerably large amounts.
It is the small percentage of such clients that affect our small company. We are definitely not perfect but we do deserve payment for any and all client accounts.
We have learned the hard way, and although we have a solid 98% of respected clients, we cannot afford to allow the minority to adversely affect our to service to you.
We sincerely apologize if you feel disrspected as this not our intention. We value those who are respectful and trustful clients. You are the ones that put the food on our table.
Service Rate
The current 2025 rate for any diagnostic service and/or repair service is $180 per hour, based on arrival time at the site to departure time from the site.
Please note that the longer you hold the technician/s the longer your service call is. This is in no way to be regarded as disrespectful to you, our client; the technician/s has a service schedule that they are required to maintain with respect to the other service needing clients.

Deposits for service, parts or any other requests are non-refundable.
Note - There is a non-refundable minimum 1/2 hour charge for any diagnostic time spent on each separate issue as per each service order. The first issue for diagnostic service requested will be included in the initial one hour payment.
Fuel Surcharge
Where required, there is a 2025 fuel surcharge of $2.50 per kilometer outside of a 55 kilometer radius from the company base in Renfrew, Ontario, Canada. Consequently, it is $5.00 for a single one kilometer return trip from the center point of Renfrew, Ontario, Canada and back. The fuel surcharge is a cost additional to the payment for the Service Request call
Lock Out Fee
When a technician is scheduled for a service call, it is with the understanding that the deadbolt lock will NOT be locked prior to their arrival. During the scheduling process with a client, their are/will be informed to leave the deadbolt unlocked. A client's failure to comply with this request leaves the technician unable to fulfill the scheduled order.
Why the Lock Out Fee?
- It requires that the technician/s phone the client to request permission that they attempt access via use of one of the Master Keys that they possess. These keys are often able to provide the needed access but this is not always the case.
- As a result, the technician/s valuable time has been compromised.
- If access is not possible, whether it be due to lack of permission and/or by failure of a Master Key, the technician/s will inform Ottawa Valley RV Inc. administration.
Ottawa Valley RV Inc. administration will attempt to re-schedule the compromised client for the next earliest service time slot, understanding that previously scheduled clients which follow this failed service, will not be adversely affected for their scheduled service.
A base Lock Out Fee of $150 (one hundred and fifty dollars) will be applied to the compromised client's account. Based on the amount of time lost, including but not limited to, wasted travel time, admistration will determine how much of the Initial Service Request payment to alot to the inconvenience.
Wherin a half hour has been lost a fee of $90 (ninety dollars), and the amount alotted by administration for the inconvenience, will be applied over and above the base Lock Out Fee.
Full payment of the total Lock Fee amount/s is required prior to rescheduling for the affected client. As such, the Lock Out Fee will be processed with the client's credit/debit card and a receipt provided via the client's email.
If payment is declined by the client's credit/debit card provider, and/or refused by the affected client, service will no longer be provided, for said client, by Ottawa Valley RV Inc. technician/s and any/all remaining monies of the Service Request will not be refunded. Reinstatement of service can be arranged after full payment of the total Lock Out Fee and, if any, all oustanding balances, has been received by Ottawa Valley RV Inc.
If necessary, legal action will be taken to secure any and all amounts outsatanding.
Refusal of Service
Ottawa Valley RV Inc. reserves the right to refuse service to any client wherein the administration of Ottawa Valley RV Inc. deems it justified. This action is not taken lightly. Ottawa Valley RV Inc. has the best intentions of serving its clients to the best of their ability.
While no one is perfect it will not be tolerated if it is believed that offense has been made, whether by refusal of payment/s, social media slandering or any action deemed reprehensible by the administration of Ottawa Valley RV Inc.
Reprehensible or unacceptable behaviour that includes actions, offensive language or actions that may cause any staff of Ottawa Valley RV Inc. staff to feel, but not limited to, threatened, intimidated or abused, will not be tolerated.
Ottawa Valley RV Inc. considers any and/all of the following unacceptable:
- threats
- derogatory/insulting remarks
- profanity
- verbal abuse
- yelling
- excessive phone calls
- excessive emails
- slander by use of any social media
- derogatory/insulting comments/remarks whether in public or through social media
- communications that are deemed reprehensible by Ottawa Valley RV Inc. administration
Refunding Policy
Ottawa Valley RV Inc. respresentatives are committed to serving you in as timely a manner as humanly possible. Given the potential constraints regarding the acquisition of parts, the time required on any specific client's service call and any addidtional such time, we cannot always guaranty that the technician/s can tend to the next service call as per their service schedule.
If there is a delay in tending to the next scheduled service call, as expected by a client, Ottawa Valley RV Inc. reserves the right to reschedule the affected client for the earliest next service time slot. Ottawa Valley RV Inc. will may every effort to service the affected client as humanly possible.
If the affected client refuses to accept the rescheduling attempt, Ottawa Valley RV Inc. reserves the right to decide whether or not to refund any payments. As per the Service Rate Policy, any and all payments made are non-refundable. It is the reserved right of Ottawa Valley RV Inc. to decide which, or if any, payment/s will be refunded.
Should Ottawa Valley RV Inc. decide to refund any Initial Service Request payment, the maximum payment will be that of the initial first hour. The Administrative Fee of $150 (one hundred and fifty dollars) is specifically non-refundable.
Warranty Based Service CallsIf the service request falls under a warranty you hold with any outside dealer and/or service provider you are fully responsible to pay for the initial non-refundable prepayment and then the non-refundable full balance of the service order you have requested from Ottawa Valley RV Inc. It is then your full responsibility to make claim with your outside dealer and/or service provider. |
Reservations
Ottawa Valley RV Inc. retains the right to suspend any current, amended and/or future service orders for a client wherein the client fails to pay in full any outstanding balances.
Ottawa Valley RV Inc. reserves the right to change any payment term and/or policy. Ottawa Valley RV Inc. reserves the right to change the hourly rate, the minimum non-refundable prepayment and fuel surcharge without notice over and above that which may show on any current service order form. In the event that there is a typographical error in service rates on the website, the greater shall be considered the most current and applicable. It is understood that any typographical errors do not void any of the policies herein. We will make a concerted effort to inform a client of any affecting changes, however, it is the client's responsibility to inquire of the service rate and of any current changes applicable to their service request at any given time.
